Sushi … The Italian Way

Trying to be inventive or making things better is no surprise when you are Italian.  We love to cook with simple and natural so what better way to eat Sushi the Italian Way.

Soya sauce has a particular flavor and not a lot of people enjoy the taste.  It is know to be very salty and what you find in the store is not so natural, so here is a little twist to make it healthier and of course …. Italian.

Italian Dipping Sauce Recipe

  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Fresh Basil
  • Fresh Oregano

In a bowl, add the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The quantity will depend on how much sushi you have, so  use  what seems reasonable for you.  Then add the freshly chopped basil and oregano.  Stir all your ingredients together.

You will notice that it will separate, don’t worry  it’s  normal.  This will give you an excuse to stir your Italian sauce with your sushi.  Enjoy !

TIP:  If you would like to have a sweet taste, try using a balsamic vinegar that is aged 20 years or more.
